Arrest History in Putnam County
PCSO, Palatka Police, Interlachen Police, Florida Highway Patrol, and other authorized agencies can make arrests in Putnam County. PCSO books county detainees even when a city or state officer made the arrest. Crescent City requests need added care because an official notice documented a police-duty transition to PCSO in December 2020; verify the event date and agency instead of assuming one custodian.
An arrest history can combine agency reports and booking events over time. No verified fixed historical coverage date was published for Jail View. A current roster is not a lifetime record, and an absent name proves little by itself.
Search PCSO Jail View Bookings
PCSO Jail View is the authoritative public booking interface. Search concepts include current or released status, first and last name, booking date or range, and booking number when the live vendor form exposes them. Open the detail row and capture the booking identifier, arresting agency, and court case number.
Jail View may show custody and release timing, charge rows, bond or hold, descriptors, and a photograph. The interface is a custody tool, not an arrest gallery. Do not republish private profiles or infer guilt from a booking.
If a name search fails, try reasonable variants and check whether the person may have been released or transferred. Do not treat unofficial mugshot pages as substitutes. A booking may be indexed under the name supplied at intake, and vendor retention or update timing can affect the public display. PCSO's main line can help resolve present custody, while Records Management handles requests for releasable sheriff-created material. Capture identifiers for verification, not for republication.
How to Look Up Putnam County Arrests
Use several channels because the booking, agency narrative, court file, and state repository answer different questions. Multiple name forms and an approximate date help locate a recent event.
- Search PCSO Jail View for current or recent booking details.
- Contact PCSO by phone or request the report from the agency named in the booking.
- Search Putnam OCRS by court number or name for filed charges and disposition.
- Use FDLE for the broader reported Florida history, not same-day custody.
- Submit a focused Chapter 119 request when public databases do not supply the needed record.
Putnam Arrest Report Custodians
The arresting-agency line determines where the narrative usually lives. PCSO Records Management uses records@putnamsheriff.org, 386-329-0822, and 130 Orie Griffin Boulevard. Palatka Police Records uses records@palatka-fl.gov, 386-329-0115, and 110 N. 11th Street. Interlachen routes requests through 386-684-3811 and the Town Clerk at 215 Atlantic Avenue. For Crescent City, confirm the current custodian from the date and agency label.

No mandatory PCSO form is published. Give the incident or booking number, date, location, names needed to locate the record, and desired format. Active investigations, victim data, juvenile matter, and confidential fields may be withheld or redacted.
Florida Chapter 119 allows inspection and copying at reasonable times and requires a good-faith response. Where an exemption covers only part of a report, the custodian should redact that portion and produce the rest. Default copy limits include up to $0.15 for a one-sided letter or legal page, $0.20 for a two-sided page, and up to $1 for certification plus copying when no other lawful schedule applies. Extensive clerical or technical work can support a reasonable special-service charge.
What an Arrest Record Shows
Separate the officer's arrest report from the jail booking. The report can contain probable-cause narrative and evidence references. Jail View supplies intake and custody fields.
| Booking Number | PCSO intake identifier, not the court case number |
|---|---|
| Booking Date & Time | Recorded jail intake timing |
| Arresting Agency | Office that made the arrest and usually holds its report |
| Charges | Initial descriptions and statutes that may later change |
| Bond | Amount, type, or hold by charge, not a disposition |
| Booking Photo | May display publicly, subject to exemptions and custodian review |
| Release Status | Custody release or transfer information, not dismissal |
Putnam Booking Numbers Are Not Cases
A booking number or MNI identifier belongs to jail intake. A court case number connects the event to OCRS. The two should not be substituted. Likewise, a bond line shows release conditions or a hold, not whether the person was convicted.
When wording differs, use the arresting agency for the original arrest allegation and the Clerk for the filed count and final disposition. Legitimate changes often reflect prosecutorial review or court amendment rather than a database error.
FDLE receives qualifying fingerprint arrest information through the state reporting chain. Later prosecutor and court outcomes are reported separately. This can create a delay or a missing disposition in a name-based statewide search. A person checking their own repository entry can use the free fingerprint Personal Review channel and support a correction request with certified Clerk proof. FDLE's public name result is broader than Putnam County, but it is not the right source for same-day jail status.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
No separate official daily PCSO PDF blotter was located. Jail View is the closest current official booking log and may offer a Booked Last 24 Hours view along with current or released searches. Search-screen labels can change with the SmartWEB vendor release.
A new arrest can appear in Jail View before a Clerk case exists. Conversely, release, transfer, retention rules, spelling, or updates can remove or obscure a result. Call PCSO at 386-329-0800 or Records Management when current custody cannot be resolved online.
Recent-booking results should be treated as a time-sensitive snapshot. Note the date and time of the search, then verify any continuing custody through PCSO. A person booked by Palatka Police can still appear in the county jail system because the arresting agency and holding agency are separate fields. The report request goes to Palatka Police, while the booking request goes to PCSO and the later filed case goes to the Putnam Clerk. That three-office path is normal, not duplication.
Putnam First Appearance Paper Trail
At intake, PCSO records identity, property, photograph, fingerprints, medical and security screening, arresting agency, and initial charges. Fingerprint arrest information enters the FDLE reporting chain. Bond or hold comes from the warrant, schedule, or judicial ruling.
A warrantless Florida arrest must reach a judicial officer within 24 hours. Local weekday first appearances have been assigned for 8:30 a.m. by Circuit order. The later court file becomes the source for filed charge, plea, adjudication, and sentence.
Release from the jail does not mean the prosecutor declined the case. A person may post bond, be released under conditions, transfer to another facility, or complete a county sentence while court activity continues. The first-appearance record can address counsel, probable cause, and release conditions, but it is not the final disposition. Use the court number from the booking to follow the Putnam OCRS docket after the arrest.
Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest record shows that an agency asserted grounds for arrest and a booking may have occurred. A conviction follows a court judgment. Different custodians create them, and one does not prove the other.
| Arrest Record | Conviction Record |
|---|---|
| Created by arresting agency and jail | Created by the court |
| Proves an arrest or booking was recorded | Records a finding or plea of guilt |
| Lives with agency and PCSO systems | Lives with the Clerk and may report to FDLE |
| May lead to release, no filing, or dismissal | May lead to sentence, appeal, or later relief |
Note: An arrest is not proof of guilt. Charges may be declined, dismissed, reduced, or resolved in the accused person's favor.
A dismissal also does not automatically remove the agency report or booking entry from every system. Florida sealing or expunction requires its own eligibility, petition, and order process when available. Even after relief, agencies handle records under the governing statute and order. Anyone reviewing their own history should compare the Putnam Clerk disposition with FDLE Personal Review rather than paying an unofficial site to remove a web result. Correcting a source record and changing a commercial web page are different tasks.
Putnam Jail Programs and Records
PCSO reports jail programs including substance-abuse, anger-management, and active-parenting classes. Its November 2024 In2Work report stated that four participants finished a six-week food-service course and passed ServSafe at 90 percent or higher.
The official In2Work notice documents that milestone.

Program participation is jail context, not proof of a particular charge or case outcome.
PCSO identifies the county jail as housing both people awaiting trial and people serving sentences. Those groups should not be confused. A pretrial detainee has not been convicted merely because custody is current. A person serving a sentence may still have separate pending matters. Jail programming, communications, visitation, and deposit information concern confinement operations and do not change the legal meaning of the booking charge. Likewise, transfer to FDC or federal custody changes the correct locator, not the need to verify the original Putnam arrest and later court outcome separately.
Putnam Custody Information Channels
PCSO's offender and family resources explains visitation and scanned mail.

It supplements booking research but does not provide court disposition. PCSO also published schedule changes for releases and registration.
The schedule notice is the official source.

Confirm live release status directly because custody changes quickly. PCSO's accreditation history also supplies institutional context.
The 2024 accreditation notice described review against roughly 235 standards.

Accreditation does not change the need to verify each booking, report, and court result with its custodian.
